We check with the musicians the morning of your wedding and if any emergencies arise we dispatch an on-call musician of equal quality to fill in.
Our roster of musicians have all been auditioned by a professional orchestra conductor. While some of the musicians in the videos may be the ones performing your wedding, the ensemble might consist of other musicians.
Each musician undergoes a rigorous audition process where they must demonstrate superior performance in a multitude of styles. Additionally, they must demonstrate excellent problem-solving and adaptability. Once a musician successfully joins Dream City Strings, they receive ongoing training on the logistics and intricate timings of a wedding ceremony.
Yes we can! Most often this venue change is included in your contract price, but there may be addition costs depending on the time and distance between performances.
Absolutely! We have on-staff arrangers who can arrange your song for strings. These typically run at $35/custom song. Check our song list for our list of songs included in your contract.
Yes we can, however each musician performs on her or his own delicate instrument, some of which are from the 19th Century. We request that adequate shade be provided in reasonable temperatures to ensure the integrity of their instruments and your performance.
Duo: 6 ft x 4 ft, Trio: 8 ft x 6 ft, Quartet: 8 ft x 8 ft.
Our professional musicians union (AFM) requires a standard per-musician travel fee to compensate the musicians for their transportation.
For a typical 20-minute Prelude, we suggest between 5 and 7 songs. For Postlude, we recommend between 3 and 4 songs. If you would like more music, please just ask!
Typically our musicians perform without amplification. Your stylist can help you determine the right-sized ensemble to provide enough sound for your guest count. If requested, we may be able to add on amplification for an additional fee.
